We are building a custom design and having never been through the process before they have by far exceeded all our expectations. We went out to a few builders for quotes, and whilst initially their prices seem slightly higher, when you compare what Shelford include as standard with their builds they are actually excellent value for money. It took Shelford a few weeks to come back with plans and quotes, compared to a few days for other builders, but the detail they went in to was worth the wait. You don’t get one light and one plug socket in each room, they actually look at your house and deck it out to what they think you will need – thus saving you money when you have to add all that at pre-start.

Shelford have been accommodating in letting us get our own trades in to do certain things to save on our costs, where we found other builders were very restrictive on this. We knew that working to a tight budget was going to be a challenge but Shelford have really helped us look at where we can save and maximize the funds we have available.
