Bringing Your Dream Home to Life

If you’re embarking on the road to building your own home for the first time, you could be forgiven for thinking that construction of your home begins when we pour the concrete floor slab! In actual fact, bringing your dream home to life includes a lot more work “behind the scenes” – well before you attend your Pre-Start meeting and well before our construction crew arrives at site.

One of the most exciting things about building is personalising your home to suit your own style. At Shelford Quality Homes, we are here to help make the whole experience enjoyable. When you sign with us, you gain access to your own build portal called the “My Shelford Home Portal.” Through this portal, you can preview colours, materials, and finishes for your home, and see construction milestones as they happen.

After making your selections in the portal, we bring everything together at your Pre-Start meeting at our Shelford HQ Selection Studio. We’ve designed our studio to provide a relaxed experience by bringing together stylish fixtures and finishes all under one convenient area. Our Pre-Start Consultants will expertly guide you through the process, ensuring your home reflects your unique style.

When you build with Shelford Quality homes, you’ll have access to your “My Shelford Home Portal”, an online tool that enables you to see the progress of your new home build at any time, all from the comfort of your home computer or portable device.

You will recive your unique login to read progress updates about each important build stage, view photos and meassages, and download important documentation, plus so much more.

Bringing it all together at your Pre-Start meeting

After you have selected items in your portal, you will be booked into your Pre-Start meeting at our Shelford HQ Selection Studio.

The Shelford Selection Studio is a purpose-built showroom that brings together all the elements of the home building process in one convenient location. This light and bright display area is a welcoming workspace for our Pre-Start Consultants to guide you through the many available options, ensuring the new home building process is as stress-free for you as is possible. Our Consultants are happy to provide practical and professional advice on not only colour and profile selections, but also the “little things” as well, like the location of your light fittings, home automation, the extent of your floor and wall tiling, future proof your home with latest trends, the number of power points you might require and so much more is covered during your consultation. You’ll find an abundance of inspiration and choice with a wide range of products.

Tips for making your selections in the portal and at your Pre-Start meeting

Let the magic begin! The selection page in your “My Shelford Home Portal” will be available and in preparation for your Pre-Start meeting it is time to start considering some of the selections for your house. Choose your external and internal selections, colours, material and finishes to bring your new home vision to life with these helpful tips:

Tip 1 – Visit our preferred tile and flooring suppliers

A list of tile suppliers is included in your portal, it is important you take the time to visit, so you can touch and explore colours, shapes and tile products for your Kitchen splashbacks, main flooring options, Ensuites, Bathrooms, Powder Rooms, Laundry – any wet room of your home design, floor and wall choices.

*** Helpful Hint*** Flooring, benchtops and cabinetry colours are big- picture items that will set the tone of your home and we highly recommend you start with this first by visiting our tile suppliers who can help you bring this together and provide you with samples to take to your Pre-Start meeting.
